Simon Dixon was one of the most dynamic speakers at the American Monetary Institute’s fifth annual Monetary Reform Conference in Chicago last week, where he presented on the topic: How to talk to Bankers and Students About Monetary Reform. He has a Master’s in Economics from the University of Manchester, and has worked as a stockbroker, trader and investment banker.  Today, he runs his own business, Benedix, which helps students obtain employment in banking and finance.

In this interview he discusses how many monetary reformers sabotage their message when they invoke conspiracy theories and blame bankers, claiming:  ”You can either rant, or get results.”

Also, about five minutes in, he tells a great story of getting his first job, concluding: “You’ve got to fail your way to success.”  (video c. 9 minutes.)

Simon’s business affords him unique access to thousands of university students in the UK where he claims to have spoken to more people on the subject of monetary reform than anyone else, ever.  Here’s a one hour video of his The Future of Banking and Finance which serves as an excellent introduction to the problems of and solutions to the debt-money system.
